A fun and practical way to gain important community nutrition experience:

-
The Victoria Order of Nurses (VON) in London is looking for nutrition students to volunteer for congregate dining (breakfast and lunch) programs in 10 London Middlesex Housing apartment buildings. The program is intended to teach healthy cooking on a budget, along with nutrition and exercise related education components.

The programs run for 1-3 hours each week in various apartments around the city. Currently there are 7 programs up and running (see below). Duties at each building include shopping for meal preparation (you are reimbursed), prepping and serving meals on location. We are currently recruiting for the upcoming Spring and Summer months, as well as next Fall. If you are interested, choose the day(s) that you are available and contact SARAH HOWE: sarah.howe@von.ca
